Corrections Policy

We work hard to be accurate, but mistakes happen. When they do, we correct them promptly and transparently. This policy explains how to report an error and what happens next.

How to report an error

You can report a possible error in either of two ways:

• Email corrections@baclivelef.com.
• Use our contact form and choose the subject “Correction request”.

Anyone can report an error — readers, artists, managers, labels, or organisations mentioned in our content.

What to include

To help us check your report quickly, please include:

• the address (URL) of the page;
• the exact wording you believe is wrong;
• what you believe is correct;
• a source that supports the correction — ideally a primary source such as an official artist, label, streaming service, awards body or collection society page;
• whether you are connected to the subject (for example, as the artist or their representative).

For errors in a tool — for example, a calculation that looks wrong — please tell us the tool, the values you entered and the result you expected.

How we assess reports

An editor reviews every correction request. We check the claim against reliable, preferably primary, sources. If the evidence shows we were wrong, we correct the content. If the evidence is unclear, we may remove or qualify the statement rather than leave uncertain information in place. If we conclude the original content was accurate, we will explain why when we reply.

Timelines

We aim to review correction requests within a few working days. Serious errors — for example, anything that could harm a person’s reputation or mislead readers about money or rights — are prioritised. Complex cases that require checking with third parties may take longer; we will let you know if so.

How corrections are shown

• Factual corrections: we fix the error and add a short note at the end of the article explaining what was changed, and we update the page’s “updated” date.
• Minor fixes: spelling, grammar and formatting fixes that do not change meaning are made without a note.
• Tool fixes: if a calculator has a bug, we fix it and, where the error affected results, add a note on the tool page.
• Clarifications: where content was accurate but could be misunderstood, we may add a clarification.

We do not quietly rewrite articles to hide mistakes.

What we do not change

Reviews and features contain opinions. We will not change a reviewer’s opinion because an artist, label or reader disagrees with it. However, if an opinion was based on a factual error — for example, a wrong producer credit or a misidentified track — we will correct the fact and consider whether the related opinion still stands, noting any change.

We also do not remove accurate content simply because someone would prefer it not to appear. Separately, if you have a privacy concern, please see our privacy policy.

Artist profiles

Our artist profiles cover emerging artists and are based on their official channels and streaming pages. If you are an artist or manager and something in your profile is wrong or out of date, such as your country, genre, releases or official links, please send a correction and include a link to an official source.
