Our tools provide estimates

Our calculators and planners are designed to help you think through common music tasks and conversations. The results they produce are estimates based on the information you enter and on general assumptions. They are not quotations, valuations or statements of what you will actually receive.

Money-related tools — such as the streaming earnings calculator, the music royalty calculator and the record deal calculator — rely on rates and assumptions that vary widely in reality. Actual music earnings and royalty payments can vary based on platform, territory, rights ownership, contracts, distributors, subscription types, revenue pools and other factors.

No guarantee of income

Nothing on Baclivelef guarantees any level of streaming, royalty, advertising or other income. Figures in our tools, guides and examples illustrate how calculations work; they are not predictions for your music.

Not legal, financial or tax advice

Our tools and guides are general information for educational purposes. They are not legal, financial, accounting or tax advice and do not create any professional relationship between you and Baclivelef. Before signing a contract, agreeing splits, making investment decisions or dealing with tax, please consult a qualified music lawyer, accountant or other appropriate professional in your jurisdiction.

Informational content

We work hard to keep our content accurate and up to date, as described in our editorial policy. However, the music industry changes quickly, and information may become out of date or contain errors. We do not warrant that any content is complete, accurate or current. If you find a mistake, please tell us via our corrections policy. Some content is demonstration material featuring fictional artists and releases, and it is clearly labelled as such.

The text, design, graphics, code and other original material on Baclivelef belong to Baclivelef or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may view and share links to our pages, and you may quote short extracts with a clear credit and link back. You may not copy, republish or sell substantial parts of our content, or present it as your own, without written permission.

Third-party names and trademarks

Artist names, album titles, platform names, company names and logos mentioned on Baclivelef are the property of their respective owners. Their mention is for identification, commentary and information only and does not imply endorsement or affiliation.

Generated names and ideas

Our generators — such as the artist name generator, the song title generator and the album name generator — combine words and patterns to suggest ideas. We do not check whether a suggestion is already in use or protected. Before adopting a name, check that it is available and does not infringe anyone else’s rights, for example by searching streaming services, social platforms, domain registrations and the relevant trademark registers. Where you use a generated suggestion, you are responsible for that choice.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the site in any way that breaks the law or infringes anyone’s rights;
• attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or its hosting;
• use automated tools to scrape or copy substantial parts of the site for republication;
• send us unlawful, abusive or malicious content, including malware;
• misrepresent your identity or affiliation when contacting us.

Submissions and messages

If you send us music, feedback, corrections, suggestions or other material, you confirm that you have the right to send it. Sending music for review does not transfer any rights in the music to us, and it does not guarantee coverage. You allow us to listen to it and to describe and discuss it in our coverage, in line with our editorial policy. If you send suggestions for tools or improvements, we may use them without obligation to you.

Links to third-party sites

Baclivelef links to other websites, such as streaming services, official artist pages and industry organisations. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. A link does not imply endorsement.

Availability

We provide Baclivelef free of charge and may change, suspend or remove any part of it at any time without notice. We do not guarantee that the site or any tool will always be available or free of errors.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Baclivelef and its operators are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site, its tools or its content, including loss of income, profits, data or opportunity.
