Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information is collected when you use Baclivelef (baclivelef.com), how it is used and what choices you have. It describes what the site actually does today. If that changes, we update this page before or at the time the change takes effect.

Summary

• Our tools run entirely in your browser. What you type into them is not sent to us.
• No analytics, tracking or advertising scripts are currently installed.
• We do not use any analytics service.
• Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses.
• If you email us, we receive whatever you choose to send.
• We do not sell your personal information.

Information we do not collect

Tool inputs

Our calculators, generators and planners, such as the BPM tap calculator and the royalty and split calculators, work entirely in your own browser using JavaScript. The figures, names, song titles and other details you enter are not sent to our servers, not stored by us and not shared with anyone, including advertisers. When you close or reload the page, your inputs are discarded.

Accounts

Baclivelef does not offer user accounts, so we do not hold usernames, passwords or profiles.

Information that may be collected

Server logs

Baclivelef is hosted on Cloudflare. When your browser requests a page, Cloudflare’s systems record technical information for security, performance and reliability. This includes your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, your browser type and the referring page. We do not use this information to build profiles of individual visitors. Cloudflare’s handling is described in its privacy policy.

Emails you send us

Our contact form does not send information to a server. When you submit it, your own email app opens with a pre-filled message, and nothing is sent until you send that email yourself. Emails to our addresses are forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to the inbox we use to reply. We receive what you send, usually your name, email address and message, and use it only to answer you and handle your request. We keep correspondence only as long as needed for that purpose or to keep a record of corrections.

Newsletter

Our newsletter has not launched yet. The sign-up form currently stores nothing and sends nothing. If we launch one, we will update this policy with the provider we use, what we collect and how to unsubscribe.

Basic analytics

Baclivelef does not use any analytics service, so we do not track which pages you visit or how you move around the site. If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy first, prefer privacy-focused options that minimise personal data, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

Advertising

Baclivelef does not currently show advertising, and no advertising cookies or scripts are loaded.

We plan to apply to Google AdSense in future to help fund the site. If ads are introduced, we will update this policy before they go live. It will then explain that third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. It will also explain how to opt out of personalised advertising through Google’s Ads Settings and www.aboutads.info. Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland will be asked for consent through a certified consent tool before personalised ads are used. Our advertising page sets out the rules we will follow, such as clear labels and no ads near buttons.

Cookies and browser storage

Baclivelef does not currently set any cookies, and it does not use local storage, session storage or similar technologies to store information on your device. If we ever use browser storage, for example to remember a tool setting or to show ads, we will disclose it here first. We will explain what is stored and why, and obtain consent where required.

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may use strictly necessary technical measures to deliver the site securely; these do not identify you to us.

Third-party services and links

We do not embed third-party players, social media widgets, web fonts or tracking scripts. Our pages link to other websites, such as streaming services and artists’ official pages. When you follow a link you leave Baclivelef, and that site’s privacy policy applies.

Children

Baclivelef is a general-audience website and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information. These can include the right to access, correct or delete it, to object to or restrict its use, to receive a copy, and to withdraw consent. Where applicable, these rights come from:

• the GDPR (European Union and European Economic Area);
• the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023;
• Kenya’s Data Protection Act 2019;

Security

We keep the information we handle to a minimum, which is the most effective protection. Correspondence is kept in a secured email account. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what we hold.

International transfers

Baclivelef is used in many countries. Our hosting and email provider (Cloudflare) may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where the law requires it, appropriate safeguards apply to these transfers.
