Iyanii is a Kenyan vocalist, singer, songwriter and performer – the description he uses on his official YouTube channel. Most of his catalogue is filed under Afro-pop on Apple Music, and many of his song titles are in Swahili.
His most talked-about recent song is “Donjo Maber”, a 2025 collaboration with the Kenyan dancehall artist Dufla Diligon. Kenyan outlet Ghetto Radio glossed the Dholuo title as meaning something thoroughly enjoyable.
Career overview
Iyanii’s releases on streaming services begin in 2020 with the single “Memories”. “Pombe” and “Furaha” followed in 2021, and “Furaha” was later remixed with the Tanzanian star Harmonize in 2022. Since then he has released singles regularly, alongside features for artists such as King Kaka, Femi One and Vic West.
“Donjo Maber” came out on 11 July 2025. Apple Music lists it under modern dancehall, and Iyanii followed it with an acoustic version in October 2025. His 2026 singles include “Mali Safi”, “Utaambia Nini Watu?” with Bensoul and “Mikono Juu”.
