Who is behind it
Iyanii describes himself on his official YouTube channel as a vocalist, singer, songwriter and performer. Most of his catalogue is filed under Afro-pop on Apple Music, and many of his titles are in Swahili. His guest on “Donjo Maber”, Dufla Diligon, is a Kenyan dancehall artist. What the title means
The title is in Dholuo, the language of the Luo people of western Kenya. The Kenyan outlet Ghetto Radio glossed “Donjo Maber” as describing something thoroughly enjoyable. We have not found an official translation from the artists themselves, so treat this as a helpful guide rather than a definitive one.
Why people are searching for it
For our September 2026 research we looked at Google Trends data for the past 12 months, focusing on the related queries that sit alongside searches for MP3 and audio downloads. In Kenya, “Donjo Maber” appeared among the Rising related queries.
Google Trends lists a query as rising when searches for it grew noticeably over the chosen period compared with the period before. It is a sign of growing curiosity, not a count of searches, plays or sales, and it tells us nothing about the song’s quality.

Where it fits in the catalogue
Iyanii’s releases on streaming services begin with the single “Memories” in 2020, followed by “Pombe” and “Furaha” in 2021. “Furaha” was remixed with the Tanzanian star Harmonize in 2022. He has also appeared on songs by King Kaka, Femi One and Vic West. His other 2025 singles include “Unanifaa” and “Tamu”. The acoustic version of “Donjo Maber”, released on 10 October 2025, is listed on streaming services as a separate single. His 2026 singles include “Mali Safi”, “Utaambia Nini Watu?” with Bensoul and “Mikono Juu”.
