On his official YouTube channel, Abongo Jakabwana describes himself as a modern Ohangla music artist. Ohangla is a drum-led musical tradition of the Luo people of western Kenya, and several of his song titles are in Dholuo, the Luo language. Apple Music, however, files “Digi Digi” under African dancehall, so the song sits somewhere between how the artist presents himself and how the platform categorises it.
