Who is An-Known?
An-Known’s official YouTube channel introduces the artist as “Hi it’s Anknown Prosper [DICEY]”, followed by a Ugandan flag. That explains the different names you will see. Streaming services credit the music to An-Known, the official lyrics video for “Binji” is titled “An-known Dicey – Binji”, and the Instagram account linked from the channel uses Anknown Prosper.
The artist’s releases on Apple Music go back to “Doctor”, a single dated September 2020. Singles such as “Tonelabira” and “Radio Call.9” followed in 2021, then “Omega” and “MUTIMA” in 2022, “Magician” in 2023 and “Believer” in 2024. The releases up to 2024 carry an FC Recordz rights line; from “Adam” in November 2024 onwards, most carry a Dicey Records one instead, which matches the “Dicey” in the artist’s billing. About the title
We have found no official explanation or translation of the title “Binji” from the artist, so we are not offering one. The title is also used by unrelated songs from other East African artists, so check the artist credit when you search for it.
Why people are searching for it
In September 2026 we studied Google Trends data for the previous 12 months, looking at the related queries that appear alongside searches for MP3 and audio downloads in each country. The Ugandan data was made up mostly of queries in the form “<song> by <artist> mp3 download”, and in Uganda “Binji” by An-Known came up as a rising related query, with growth of between +4,050% and +4,650% in the searches we checked.
That is a large rise, but it is not the Breakout label Google Trends uses, which is reserved for a related query whose search interest grew by more than 5,000% over the chosen period. Either way, figures like these usually start from a very low base: they measure how fast interest grew, not how many searches there were in total, and they say nothing about how good a song is.
The official lyrics video on An-Known’s YouTube channel showed about 497,000 views when we checked on 22 September 2026.
Many search results for the song point to unofficial download sites, which host music without the artist’s permission. We do not link to them. The official options are listed below.
Where it fits in the catalogue
“Binji” followed “Adam” (November 2024), the first An-Known single with a Dicey Records rights line, and a guest appearance on “Mpeke” (2025), credited to Aroma Music and An-Known. An-Known also features on Lydia Jazmine’s “Freezing” (2024). In December 2025 Apple Music lists a single called “Bingi (Acoustic)”, and in May 2026 An-Known released “Know Better”. Earlier singles such as “Radio Call.9” (2021) and “Magician” (2023) show where the catalogue started.
