Who is behind it
Chibwe Chabala is a gospel singer from Zambia. On his official YouTube channel he describes himself as a gospel minister, a worshipper and a pastor, and the contact numbers listed there are Zambian. On that channel the song appears as “Chibwe C – Lesa Tangila”, while Spotify and Apple Music list it under his full name. If you are searching for it, either name should find the same song.
Why people are searching for it
We looked at Google Trends for Zambia over the 12 months to September 2026. Among the related queries for music and download-related searches, “Lesa Tangila” was marked as a “Breakout”. Google uses that label instead of a percentage when searches for a term have grown by more than 5,000%, which usually means there were very few searches for it before. In everyday terms, the song went from barely searched for to something many more people in Zambia were looking up by name.
That is a signal of interest, not a count of streams or sales, and we make no claims about chart positions or play counts. Beyond download and lyrics sites, we did not find press coverage of the song, which is part of why we chose to feature it. Our round-up of the songs Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique and Zambia are searching for explains how we collected these signals.
Where it fits in the catalogue
His streaming catalogue is short. Spotify and Apple Music list two singles under the name CHIBWE CHABALA: “Lesa Tangila” (2025) and “Napela Imwe” (2026), on which Apple Music credits Jacklyn Musonda as the featured artist. That makes “Lesa Tangila” his first release on those services.
His YouTube channel goes further. It includes “Naisa Lelo” and “Tubakulile”, a recording made with World Touch Praise Team. Neither was in his Spotify discography as of September 2026, so if you want to hear more than the two singles, the channel is the place to go.
