Who is behind it

Trechyson Molly vx’s official YouTube channel describes the act as a music producer and DJ and carries a South African flag. Since 2023, many of the artist’s releases have come out through Top Floor Records, which describes itself on YouTube as an independent South African label. Apple Music files the artist under Amapiano, and most earlier releases there are filed under Amapiano or Dance. You can read more on our Trechyson Molly vx artist page.

DJ Promatic SA is a regular collaborator. The two share credits on several earlier singles, including “Mpogo” and “Chaba Dia Fela” (2024) and “Thatha Dali” (2025). Dendofela is credited as the third artist on this single. The listings we checked do not give songwriter or producer credits or say who performs which part, so we have not guessed.

About the title

The title is in Setswana, a language spoken in Botswana and in parts of South Africa and Namibia. We have not found an official translation from the artists, so we are not offering one.

Why people are searching for it

In our September 2026 research we looked at Google Trends data for the past 12 months, focusing on the related queries that appear alongside searches for MP3 and audio downloads. “Botshelo Ke Eng” appeared as a Breakout query in both Botswana and Namibia.

“Breakout” is a label Google Trends gives to a related query whose search interest grew by more than 5,000% over the chosen period. It usually means that very few people searched for the phrase at the start of the period. It tells you how quickly interest grew, not how many searches there were in total. It is also no guide to what the song sounds like or how good it is.

If you search for the title, be aware that Apple Music also lists a number of other releases called “Botshelo Ke Eng” by different acts, including remixes, from March 2026 onwards. The official release is the one credited to Trechyson Molly vx, DJ Promatic SA and Dendofela.

Many searches for the song lead to download sites that host music without the artists’ permission. We do not link to them. The official options are listed below.

Where it fits in the catalogue

“Botshelo Ke Eng” followed the 2025 album Impilo yo Mjita, a seven-track release made largely with Lah’Vee and DJ Promatic SA. It is the first Trechyson Molly vx release on Apple Music with a Hit Music Money credit rather than Top Floor Records, although Top Floor Records’ YouTube channel also carries the official audio, a lyric video and an extended DJ version. On 1 May 2026 a follow-up, “Botshelo Ke Eng 2.0”, came out, credited to Trechyson Molly vx, Jinger Stone and MaWhoo. “Ka Di Weekend” with Jinger Stone followed in June.
