Tracy Melon is a singer and songwriter from Uganda. Her official YouTube channel describes her simply as an artist and songwriter. According to an interview she gave The Observer, her real name is Tracy Mirembe, and she built a following on TikTok by posting song covers.
Her 2025 single “Tovayo” appeared as a Breakout search in Uganda in our September 2026 research. At Galaxy FM’s Zzina Awards 2025–2026 she won Best Female Artist, Best Contemporary Urban Artist and Breakthrough Artist.
Tracy Melon’s releases on streaming services go back to August 2022, when “Nakupenda” and “Mwana Wa Kintu” came out. “Teleera” and “Bintwala”, featuring Aliddeki Brian, followed in 2023, along with her EP Smile that November. Nearly all of her releases carry a Trroy Music copyright line, and since mid-2025 they have been distributed by ONErpm.
In an April 2025 interview with The Observer she described “Kakana” (November 2024) as the song that helped her break through. “Sumagiza” and “Ogenda Kukilaba” came out in 2025, and Galaxy FM nominated “Ogenda Kukilaba” for Song of the Year and Best Contemporary Urban Song. “Tovayo” was released on 19 September 2025. In December 2025 she released Tracy Melon in Acoustic, a four-track EP with acoustic versions of songs including “Tovayo” and “Kakana”, credited with Maestro Studios.
She also works with other artists. Apple Music credits her on Kataleya & Kandle’s “Totta” (2025) and on songs by Stream Of Life Choir and Green Daddy. Her 2026 releases include “Nkwatako (Touch Me)”, “Tonalaba” with Mojo, and “Nhono”.
Selected releases as listed on Spotify and Apple Music, checked September 2026. Some releases appear more than once on Apple Music with slightly different titles or track counts.
Start with “Tovayo”, the single most people are searching for, then go back to “Kakana” and “Ogenda Kukilaba”. The Tracy Melon in Acoustic EP has alternative versions of several of these songs. Her official YouTube channel carries the music videos and lyric videos.
