Who is behind it
Nelson Tivane is a singer, songwriter and composer from Mozambique. His official YouTube channel introduces him as a Mozambican singer-songwriter and also calls him a musician, arranger and conductor. Before his recent solo run, he appeared as a guest on other artists’ records, including the 2021 “Yaba Buluku (Remix)” credited alongside Preck. In our September 2026 research we looked at Google Trends data for the past 12 months, focusing on the related queries that appear alongside searches for MP3 and audio downloads. In Mozambique, “Mama’s Baby” appeared as a Breakout query.
Google Trends uses the “Breakout” label when a related query’s search interest grows by more than 5,000% over the selected period. That usually happens when the phrase had very few searches at the start. It measures how fast interest grew, not the total number of searches, and it says nothing about the song’s quality.
